Professor Maital to Speak at the Science for Innovation Conference

Professor Maital will speak at the Science for Innovation Conference organized by Solvay. The conference will take place on the 16th and 17thof October in Brussels, Belgium.

The title of Professor Maital’s speech is ‘High-tech: Israel as case study, lessons for Solvay’. Israel’s high-technology industry drove more than half of Israel’s exports and nearly half of its economic growth in the past decade. Israeli high-tech, in turn, is driven by a startup culture and a complex innovation ecosystem.

Shlomo Maital is Emeritus Professor at Technion - the Israel Institute of Technology - and a senior research fellow at the Neaman Institute.  During the 1998-2009 period he served as Academic Director of TIM -Technion Institute of Management. For 20 years, Professor Maital was a summer visiting professor at MIT Sloan School of Management's ‘Management of Technology’ M.Sc. program. He wrote, co-authored and edited many books as well as having published more than 80 scholarly articles in refereed journals. Professor Maital co-founded the SABE - Society for Advancement of Behavioral Economics.
